2022-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement

The 2022-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement includes all information regarding employment of musicians. Please make sure you read this. The Attendance Policy will begin with the 2023-2024 Season.

PARKING

DECC PARKING LOT 350 Harbor Drive Duluth, MN 55802

AQUARIUM PARKING LOT 353 Harbor Drive Duluth, MN 55802 – parking at the Aquarium is free on weeknights but a pass is required for Saturday parking.

Parking passes for regular members will be distributed in the Fall. The current parking passes are good through October.

Parking for substitute musicians is in the process of revision. Stay tuned for more details.

TICKETS

Regular members are able to sign up for one season ticket or receive 10 comps to use as you wish throughout the season.

Substitute musicians receive one comp per concert in which you play. 

Substitute musicians please email Ginger Dallin to request a ticket.

Additionally, all musicians (regular members and subs) can receive up to two tickets at half price for any concert. Comp and half-price tickets may not be used for Casual Concerts.

INSTRUMENT INSURANCE

The rate for the 2022-23 season is $.359 per one hundred and there is a $500 deductible. This rate is only good for the 1 year term of this policy. It can fluctuate each year based on the market and losses claimed.

Coverage for this season began on Nov. 1, 2022 and goes through Sept. 30, 2023.

New Mileage and Lodging in 2022-2025 CBA

The mileage and lodging reimbursement in the 2022-2025 CBA may be found here. For the current season, all mileage and lodging requests may be emailed to David Arnott on the Monday following the concert.

Reminder: The travel reimbursement cap for Masterworks is $250. The travel reimbursement cap for Pops is $175.

GENERAL INFO

DRESS CODE
Concert Dress for the 2022-2023 season is as follows (Pops attire from previous seasons):

Option 1
Black, collared shirt, black suit jacket, black pants, ankle length, back dress socks, black shoes with black soles and laces, black long tie (not bow tie).

Option 2
Black blouse or sweater, at least 3/4 sleeve in length, black dress or skirt, ankle length or longer, black pants, ankle length, black socks or opaque tights/stockings, black shoes, modest heel, minimal jewelry, and fragrances

Attire is the same for Masterworks and Pops performances.

LIBRARY

Request music  be mailed or emailed All String Parts are will be available on Ensemble Manager generally no less than 2 weeks prior to concerts

General info for SUBSTITUTE MUSICIANS

Bring a copy of your Union card (first time only)

Register with PayCom to receive payment – see below for how to.

To get registered please email David (darnott@dsso.com)with your legal name, email address and cell phone number. You will then receive an invite via email to “Self-Onboard” with PayCom. You will need to enter tax information (Federal W4, MN W4 and I-9) so have that handy.
