New Year's Eve: Time Warp

DULUTH, Minnesota – The Rocky Horror Picture Show took the world on a strange journey in 1975 as Brad Majors and his fiancé Janet Weiss stumbled upon the Frankenstein Place, and experienced a night they would never forget. Get ready as the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra takes you on that very journey this New Year’s Eve.
The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra is excited to welcome back our friends Jeans ‘n Classics for New Year’s Eve: Time Warp! This concert features all of your favorites from this cult classic. Including “Dammit Janet,” “The Time Warp,” “Hot Patootie – Bless My Soul,” and more!

Jeans ‘n Classics has joined the DSSO several times, including in 2018 for New Year’s Journey, which featured all of Journey’s greatest hits. Based out of London, Ontario, the group has performed with Orchestras across North America for the past 20 years, always interpreting legendary music with their own signature flair.
We’re also thrilled to welcome DSSO Assistant Conductor, Ho-Yin Kwok to the podium as guest conductor for New Year’s Eve. Mr. Kwok joined the DSSO family this season as both the Assistant Conductor and Director of the DSSYO Youth Symphony. He is also the Co-Director of the University of Minnesota’s Campus Orchestras program and Artistic Director and Conductor for the Mississippi Valley Orchestra in the Twin Cities.
We encourage concert goers to come early and join us on the Mezzanine for a special lesson on The Time Warp with our friends from Zenith City Horror. Come learn that it starts with just a jump to the left, and get ready dance along! Concert goers are also encouraged to come in costume, as Zenith City Horror will also be helping us conduct a Costume Contest during intermission!
