Young Artist Competition

Prizes: $500, $250 and three prizes of $100

First Place awarded to a student residing or pursuing musical studies in MN, WI and Upper MI, as prescribed in application materials, including members of the DSYO's Concert Orchestra and Youth Symphony. First Place winner will receive $500 and opportuity to perform with the DSSO. First Prize winner may audition in following years but are not eligible to win First Place again.

Second Place ($250) awarded to a member of the DSYO's Concert Orchestra or Youth Symphony.

Third Place ($100) awarded to three students residing or puruing musical studies in MN, WI and Upper MI, as prescribed in application materials, including members of the DSYO's Concert Orchestra and Youth Symphony.

Hester Memorial Scholarship

The Hester Memorial Scolarship of $275 was established in honor of William Hester, a greatly admired violinist, pianist, teacher, and former member of the Duluth Superior Symphony.
