In 2017 we celebrate the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s Ninety-Five Theses and the resulting Reformation that changed the face of Christianity. Felix Mendelssohn wrote his Symphony No.5 in honor of the Protestant Reformation. Similarly Brahms composed his German Requiem as a sacred, but non-liturgical work, that featured German texts, taken from the Luther Bible. The DSSO will be joined by our chorus and guest soloists for this glorious work.
